About.
Jordan M. Griffin is a speculative fiction author, fiction editor, and host of The Write Turn podcast. In her writing, she explores the mechanics of story and the craft of building unforgettable characters. She writes across fantasy and science fiction, drawn to stories about dangerous power, moral consequence, and broken people trying to survive the systems that shape them.
Her short fiction has appeared in Night Picnic Press, Door is a Jar Magazine, Livina Press, and elsewhere. She was shortlisted for the 2022 Lascaux Flash Fiction Contest and longlisted for the 2021 Novel Slices Summer Contest.
As a bisexual woman, Jordan is committed to writing LGBTQ+ characters and expanding the emotional and moral range of speculative fiction. Whether she’s building intricate magic systems or dissecting narrative structure on her podcast, she finds herself returning to a question: what does power cost, and who survives it?
